"Collectible Postcards

4x6 format in watercolor and Mixed Media

COLLECTIBLE POSTCARD ART has a remarkable history.

Originally meant to be hand-delivered in the early mid 1800's--somewhat like business cards--they evolved into printed form.  They have many uses now--as gifts, sent through the mail, or framed. For instance, the artist puts them in magnetic sleeves to mak an art gallery of her refrigerator door. Artists exchange them among themselves at festive parties.

They make unique gifts at an affordable price because they are not reprinted for sale.  Each one is an original.

An expression of artistic creation, postcard art on this site is an original Collectible Postcard Art meant to be framed.  You can collect them in their 4x6-inch size to start your own personal gallery of small works.  They fit nicely in narrow spaces.  Each is artist-signed originals.

Most are created on heavyweight, textured postcard paper (140 pb.300gsm)), acid free.  Surfaces may vary, depneind on what was at hand at the time of creative spark.
